Mount Annan Christian College boasts a proud sporting reputation within the Christian School Sporting Circles. The College is a member school in two major NSW sporting associations, namely Christian School Sports Association (CSSA) and Combined Independent Schools (CIS). Within these associations, students at Mount Annan Christian College compete in a variety of sports.

Over the past 11 years, students in the College have enjoyed much success within their chosen sports. Our College has been State Champions in the CSSA Super 8 Cricket competition, CSSA Senior Cricket, CSSA Senior Mixed Hockey, CSSA State Gymnastics and has competed in State finals in Basketball, Cricket and Soccer.

In 2007, the College had its first two students compete at the National level of Competition in Swimming. These students represented NSW CSSA at the National Swimming Championships in Sydney and each achieved Gold and Silver medals in their respective events.

Elite athletes within the College also have the opportunity to trial for NSW representative teams within the CIS organisation. This provides these students the opportunity to represent their state at the highest level of schoolboy and schoolgirl competition  within NSW and is a stepping stone to further representation at a  schoolboy/girl level. Each year the College has student’s trialling in a variety of Sports. These sports include:

  • Cross Country
  • Athletics

  • Netball
  • Rugby League
  • Softball
  • Basketball
  • Hockey
  • Gymnastics
  • Golf
  • Cricket

Junior, Middle and Senior School students at Mount Annan Christian College also have the opportunity to compete in weekly intra school sport. Students in the College are divided into 4 house groups and compete weekly in a variety of summer and Winter sports within these house groups. This provides all students, no matter their ability level, the opportunity to participate in Physical Activity at a competitive level.

In 2010, for the first time recreational sports will be offered at various sporting venues throughout the local community.

The College supports all students in their sporting achievements and looks to nurture the talent through coaching, talent identification and encouragement to pursue their goals.
