The Library seeks to support the College’s curriculum and to facilitate learning in line with the College’s vision statement. It functions centrally in all disciplines, directing pupils beyond their present skills and knowledge by equipping them for a pattern of lifelong learning, gaining familiarity and expertise in the use of information sources by learning to:
The atmosphere of the Library is inclusive and welcoming. Students are enthusiastically encouraged to read for educational and recreational purposes; a thriving senior book club currently has twenty two members and is a time of interaction and fun. Library staff are committed to providing students and staff with access to ClickView, a digital learning platform that enables teachers to structure and present lessons in a dynamic and engaging way to students. Staff work collaboratively with teaching staff and provide access to print and electronic resources. These resources support both the curriculum and personal literary enjoyment. The Library is open to all staff, students and parents at Mount Annan Christian College; opening times are 8.10am-2.50pm Monday to Friday.
