Welcome to the Creative and Performing Arts Faculty of  the College. We are proud to be able to offer both Middle and Senior School courses in Dance, Music and Visual Art.  We also offer both Dance and Music extra-curricular activities.  Our vision is to see all our students excel in the Creative and Performing Arts, this being enabled through professional tuition, outstanding facilities and creative and performance opportunities. The Creative and Performing Arts Department at Mount Annan Christian College boasts a vibrant team of teachers that are committed to provide students with quality, dynamic and Christian based teaching that is highly individualised to meet the needs of our students.

Music Faculty
Students in these courses are exposed to a huge variety of musical styles, including classical, romantic, 20th century Art Music, rock, pop, jazz, musical theatre and music from film and television.  The nature of musical study also allows students to develop their capacity to manage their own learning, engage in problem-solving, work collaboratively and engage in activity that reflects the real world practice of performers, composers and audiences.

Visual Arts
The Visual Arts department is committed to developing student’s individual artistic skills, and offers a variety of practises throughout the course. We offer sculpture, digital photography, digital design, filmmaking, painting, drawing, printmaking, textile and ceramic media as part of our curricular course work.  The individual needs and abilities of students are catered for extensively in the Visual Arts Department. Students who wish to develop in a specific media or area of interest are provided with opportunities to do so.

Students at Mount Annan Christian College have numerous opportunities to perform.  As well as weekly opportunities to play for whole school Church times in the auditorium, an annual Showcase highlights the talents of various singers, and instrumentalists in the genres of rock, popular, art music and small ensemble music.  Other smaller performance opportunities including Open Days, Eisteddfods, special assemblies, evening soirees, and lunch time concerts.  Group performance opportunities are also made available to the Vocal ensemble, Percussion Group, and Concert Band.

Mount Annan Christian College also offers tuition for all students in the following areas; voice, piano, guitar, bass, drum kit, percussion, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and violin.
