HSIE is the study of people, cultures, societies and environments. Studies in this area encompass people and environments (human and natural) over time. This Faculty area has the potential to lead students to grow in an appreciation of the beauty, unity and symbolism of God's creation, and grow in awareness of their responsibilities to care for and sustain
creation.

Human Society and Its Environment invites students into an awareness of the concern for the welfare, rights and dignity of all people. It encourages students to develop an awareness and appreciation to human differences.
